Edmond’s Gunnar Nixon continues to climb toward decathlon stardom. Now he’s the U.S. indoor heptathlon champion. Nixon won the U.S. indoors last week at Albuquerque. The 20-year-old set personal bests in the 60 meters (6.86 seconds), shot put (47 feet, 9 inches), high jump. 60 hurdles (7.93) and pole vault (15-9).
