Arkansas teammates Wayne Pinnock and Carey McLeod, both representing Jamaica, placed first and fourth in the men's long jump at the NCAA Division 1 West Regional at Sacramento State. Pinnock prevailed on his opening attempt with a wind-legal effort of 26-5 (8.05m) and McLeod achieved a wind-legal leap of 25-7.25 (7.80m) in the first round, both securing berths in the June 7 final at the Division 1 championship meet at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
